General Information for Kindergarten 2017-18
Kindergarten Class Schedule
Students in Kindergarten receive 475 hours of instruction over the school year. The class schedule is as follows:
Full Day schedule: Classes are from 8:35 a.m. to 3:28 p.m. with lunch from 11:35 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.
Commencement of Kindergarten 2017
We will be having a half day ‘Orientation Day’ before the commencement of regular school hours. We look forward to meeting you and your child on your assigned Orientation Day. For the morning orientation, please drop your child off at the classroom for 8:45 am and return at 11:00 am for a short story and information, you will be done by 11:30. For the afternoon orientation, please drop off your child at the classroom for 12:45 pm and return at 3:00 pm for a short story and information, you will be done by 3:30. If your child comes for an afternoon session please be advised that you can not park in front of the school due to buses arriving at the end of the day.

- Students whose surnames begin with A-H will come to school from 8:45 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
- Students whose surnames begin with J-Sc will come to school from 12:45 P.M to 3:30 P.M.

- Students whose surnames begin with Se-Z will come to school from 8:45 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
On the Orientation Days, students, in small groups, will be involved in a number of activities to assist them in becoming acquainted and comfortable with each other, the Kindergarten Program and the staff. Parents, please remember that on these orientation dates there will be NO transportation to and from school. Please provide your own transportation.
First Full Day of School
Tuesday, September 5, 2017 will be the first regular Kindergarten day for the Tuesday/Thursday class. Bus transportation is provided from this day forward.
For any inquiries about bussing, please call Student Transportation at 417-8151. Our Transportation Department organizes the bus schedules and determines when busing for rural and urban children will occur. The school has no influence over schedules, fees, pick up times or any other bussing regulations.

- 1 Hilroy Green scribbler - half plain/half interlined
- 20 plastic page protectors
- 5 large Elmer’s brand purple glue sticks
- 1 pair indoor running shoes
- 1 back pack
- 5 Doutangs (Paper only)
- 1 one inch plain binder
- 1 pair of scissors
- 10 HB pencils (no designs please)
- 2 pkgs. of Crayola markers-broad-tip
- 1 pkg. of 24 count Crayola “Twistable Crayons”
- 1 white eraser
- Boys – 1 Large Box of Storage Ziploc Bags
- Girls- 1 Box of Small sandwich Ziplock Bags
Supplies can be brought on your child’s orientation day.
