Math Information
During our January Parent Council Meeting, Bev Milobar was in attendance to provide a hands-on math presentation. She demonstrated how math is now being taught compared to how it was done in the past. Ms. Milobar suggested that parents access the Curriculum Handbook for Parents (located on the Alberta Education website) for more information on math. The link is provided below.

Safety First
Playground Expectations Update:
In order to clarify some recent playground miscommunications, the staff at Wye has reviewed the following expectations with their students:
Due to safety concerns we have discontinued the following games: Red Rover, Sand Man, and any Tag games played on and around the playground equipment. (slides, climbing structures etc.)
Yes!
Please! Run, play soccer, dance, build forts, play basketball, dig in the sand, play tag on the fields. Have lots of fun, fresh air and exercise with your friends.
Again, safety for your children is our number one concern and supervisors will assess as need be.
Students are allowed to play Sand Man during their Physical Education classes.
Thank you for your understanding and once again our apologies for the miscommunication.
For further information on our playground expectations access our school handbook.
